We seek a qualified and competent Clothing Production Manager to add value and improve our operations by providing the necessary support to the factory. We manufacture activewear - the successful candidate should possess a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. Please note, no remote positions are available, candidates must be based in Cape Town. Remuneration is market related.

Duties & Responsibilities:

● Effectively manage all the manufacturing of the apparels in the factory unit
● Ensure that the manufacturing process runs reliably and efficiently
● Check the quality of the raw materials and standardize it
● Examine the finished product carefully and look for flaws
● Achievement of quality standards as per customer requirements
● Reduction of repair / reject rates to required levels
● Management of productivity improvement initiatives
● Ensure that all the manufacturing targets are met

Desired Experience & Requirements:

● At least 5 years practical clothing production experience in a management position
● A Knowledge of Manufacturing Standards
● Excellent leadership & communication skills
● Planning, coordinating and implementing production requirements
● Honesty, integrity and good work ethics
● In-depth knowledge of garment technology and clothing manufacturing processes
